I.Overview

This update introduces the Construction Management module, enabling centralized management of BIM models, scan data, and site issues to improve project visualization, collaboration, and progress tracking.

• BIM-based Project Creation: Create construction management projects from IFC-format BIM models and organize them by floor or area.
• BIM and Scan Data Management: Add scan data and supplementary BIM models within the same project, with data organized by floor, capture time, and type.
• Unified Data Viewing: View BIM, point clouds, Mesh, 3DGS, and Virtual Tours within the same project, and switch by floor or capture time. 
• BIM Model Inspection: Adjust BIM display modes, inspect component properties, and review model details for on-site verification.
• BIM and Site Data Comparison: Compare BIM models with site data or scan data captured at different times using synchronized side-by-side views. 
• Site Notes: Create and track site notes at specific model locations, with assignees, comments, photos, and status updates.
• Team Collaboration: Invite project members and manage permissions with Viewer, Editor, and Administrator roles. 

II.New Features

1. Construction Management Module

• Added the Construction Management module with support for uploading IFC-format BIM files. 
• Notes:
  • BIM files must be assigned to a floor or area during upload. Multiple BIM files can be uploaded at once, but only one BIM model is supported per floor. 
  • Only BIM files can be uploaded when creating a project. After project creation, corresponding scan data can be uploaded. 

2. BIM Model Viewing

• Projects open in BIM view by default. 
• Supports Perspective and Orthographic views, Shaded and Wireframe display modes, and BIM component property inspection.
• Site note locations are displayed on the mini map for quick navigation.
  • Shaded: Displays model surfaces and colors with visible edges. 
  • Wireframe: Displays only model edges, allowing users to inspect internal structures. 

3. Project Data Upload

• Upload additional scan data or BIM models directly within a project.
• Raw scan data can be uploaded for processing with the Data Processing module.

4. Compare View

Compare BIM models with on-site point clouds or compare scans captured at different times on the same floor through synchronized side-by-side viewing.Supported comparison combinations include:

• BIM + Point Cloud 
• Point Cloud + Point Cloud (different capture times) 
• Real-Scene Roaming + BIM 
• Real-Scene Roaming + Point Cloud 

Comparison View is currently available as a Preview feature and will continue to be improved in future releases.

Mesh and 3DGS are not supported at this time.

5. Site Notes

Create site notes directly within the model to document on-site issues.

• Configure note title, priority, status, and assignee. 
• Quickly navigate to the corresponding location and add descriptions, comments, and photos. 
• Update note status as work progresses. 
• Export all site notes as a PDF report or share individual notes with users outside the project. 

6. Member Management

• Project managers can invite members and assign View, Edit, or Manage permissions.
  • View: View project data and assigned site notes, and add processing details, comments, and photos.
  • Edit: Includes View permissions, plus uploading scan data, creating site notes, and updating note progress.
  • Manage: Includes Edit permissions, plus inviting or removing members, changing member permissions, managing BIM and scan data, and confirming site note completion.
• Invited members can join projects via invitation links and collaborate according to their assigned permissions. 
• Permission changes take effect immediately. 
• Project storage is counted under the project creator's account. Viewing project data and site notes does not require module activation, while uploading data, creating site notes, and managing members require the Construction Management module.
