I.New Features
1. Rover Management
- Device Orientation Display: The real-time point cloud interface now displays a radar-head icon with a front spotlight. It moves and rotates with the scanner to support 360° real-time mapping.
- First-Person Mode: Users can switch from the default 3D scanning view to first-person view, with the view fixed behind the scanner. Manual zoom and rotation are supported. The view automatically resets after 5 seconds of inactivity.
2. Built-in Camera and Infrared Camera Capture
A new camera capture button is added to the real-time scan interface, supporting both front and infrared cameras.
- Photos are linked to scan trajectories.
- After capture, the scan path includes photo markers and IDs (S01, S02…), with optional notes up to 150 characters.
3. Scan Enhancement
Optimized algorithms for sparse scenes like narrow indoor corridors and tunnels. Improves ground smoothness and avoids scan dropouts.
- New Scan Enhancement button in the toolbar.
- Usage tips: Keep the scanner 0.5–1 m away from walls, keep the scanner level, remain still for up to 10 seconds while enhancement is running (algorithm may finish early if conditions are met).
- Scene guidance:
- Scan each corner in rectangular rooms once
- Scan every 100 meters in long corridors
- Scan every corner in L-shaped or concave areas
- Moving during enhancement triggers: “Please remain still, timer will restart.”
- After the first enhancement, algorithm suggests the next point with a toast notification.
4. Landscape Mode
- Scanner interface now supports Landscape Mode for better on-site viewing.
- Switch with a button; screen rotates clockwise. Reverts to portrait after scanning.
- Compatibility: If Scan App < V3.6.0, users are prompted to update.
5. Long-Time Mode
A new mode is available for long-duration scans and large-area projects.
- Supports scans longer than 20 minutes for large areas.
- Due to large data volume, only point cloud data and project thumbnails from the most recent 3 minutes are displayed in real time.
- Recommended for experienced users to avoid irregular scanning and poor SLAM tracking conditions.
6. USB Mode
Added USB mode for direct file transfer to PC and device debugging.
- Settings > Firmware > USB Mode, with options: [File Transfer Mode] and [Function Test Mode]. Default: File Transfer Mode.
7. External Camera Capture Settings
Users can manually adjust shutter speed and ISO for Insta360 X3/X5 time-lapse mode. Settings are available under [Hardware Settings] → [Shooting Settings].
8. Real-Time Speed Detection & Alerts
- The system monitors device movement speed and vibration and voice alerts trigger if moving too fast.
9. Firmware Log Upload
One-click upload of firmware logs via App for remote troubleshooting.
- Connect to P2, then click [Upload Logs] in the [Settings] page.
- Offline: download logs and send manually.
10. New Language: Portuguese
II.Optimizations
1. WiFi Mode Optimization
- Renamed “WiFi Mode” to “Connection Mode” to simplify user understanding.
- In Connection Mode: STA Mode→ Network Setup Mode; AP Mode→ Local Area Mode.
- Added default startup mode setting.
2. Control Point Optimization
Control point display and interaction have been improved.
- Tap the icon to view and manage control points without stopping the scan.
- The list button shows control point names, coordinates, and delete options. Users can tap a control point name to jump to it.
3. CORS IP Edit
- Supports deletion of CORS server IP address.
4. Marker Function Update
- “Fixed Marker” renamed to “Marker.”
- The Marker function no longer requires an Insta360 connection. Insta360 capture remains available.
- The popup message has been updated to: “Keep the scanner steady and click OK to mark the current position.”
- Marker button visually distinguished from built-in camera capture.
5. End Mapping Bug Fix
Fixed an issue where the Scan app could not end mapping properly
III.Compatibility
- Mapping and point cloud colorization require: Model PC-V207.001 or above, Model iPad-V1.10, Model Android Pad-V1.3 or above.
- Infrared camera data processing is supported on Model PC-V207.001 or above while Pad is not supported.
